The present application relates to a depth camera and method for eliminating motion artifacts. A depth camera 10 comprises: an emitter 11, used for emitting a pulsed light beam 30 to a target 20 in a spatial region within a plurality of frame periods; a collector 20, used for collecting a reflected pulsed light beam 40 reflected back by the target 20 in each frame period and generating a rawphase graph, the collector 20 comprising an image sensor consisting of a plurality of pixels, each pixel comprising a plurality of taps, each tap being used for collecting a reflected pulsed light beam or background light so as to generate a charge amount, and the pixel values in the rawphase graphs being the charge amounts generated by the taps; and a controlling and processing circuit 13, which receives a plurality of rawphase graphs, processes same to obtain IR graphs each corresponding to one of the rawphase graphs, determines motion pixels according to the pixel values in the IR graphs, corrects the pixel values in the rawphase graphs corresponding to the motion pixels so as to obtain corrected rawphase graphs, and calculates a target depth map according to the corrected rawphase graphs. By means of the implementation of the present application, the accuracy of eliminating motion artifacts is improved.
