Abstract:
This design assistance device is used, the device comprising: a reception unit which receives a first design item including various kinds of information about an object to be designed, the kinds of information being input by a user in order to make a change; a design item specification unit which specifies the first design item and a second design item related to the first design item; a design rule specification unit which specifies a design rule, which is a rule of design of the object to be designed, by using the first design item and the second design item; and an output unit which outputs the design rule, specified by the design rule specification unit, before the first design item is designated as the second design item. Accordingly, the designer can clarify the design rule or the like and improve design work efficiency, before deciding on a design item to be changed.
