Abstract:
The present invention relates to a design and encoding method and device for a low-density parity-check code. The design and encoding method for a low-density parity-check code, according to one embodiment of the present invention, may comprise the steps of: (a) generating a proto-matrix for a protograph-based raptor-like (PBRL) low-density parity-check (LDPC) code; (b) adding at least one edge to the proto-matrix; and (c) performing encoding using the proto-matrix to which the at least one edge has been added, thereby generating a codeword.
