Abstract:
The purpose is to provide a bandpass ΔΣ modulator for use at a desired frequency. A bandpass ΔΣ modulator is obtained by replacing z in the z region model of a low-pass ΔΣ modulator with z' below (in no event does θ0 = ±π/2×n, where n is an integer equal to 1 or greater). z' = fcnv(z, θ0) fcnv(z, θ0) is function such that, for any values of z and θ0, the absolute value of fcnv(z, θ0) is always 1. θ0 = 2π × (f0/fs), where f0 is the sampling frequency, and fs is the center frequency of the quantization noise-inhibiting band of the bandpass ΔΣ modulator.
