Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of construction of optical networks, and in particular, to a design method for a quasi-coarse wavelength division multiplexing optical network. In the design method, a spectral grid of an optical channel has a pre-set fixed bandwidth, and the pre-set fixed bandwidth is at least 200 GHz (greater than the bandwidth of a spectral grid in a DWDM optical network, thus effectively improving the spectral efficiency of the optical network); and a modulation format of the optical channel is adaptively selected according to actual rate requirements and physical channel conditions, thus selecting an optimal modulation format to balance the construction costs and the spectral efficiency (an ROADM node of a Quasi-CWDM optical network is very simple, and the ROADM node does not need any expensive flexible grid wavelength selection switch, thus effectively reducing the construction costs of the Quasi-CWDM optical network). The above technical solution effectively resolves the technical problems in the prior art of high construction costs and low spectral efficiency of elastic optical networks.
