Abstract:
A design optimization method for the shape of a crease-suppressing holder for a space film structure, solving the problem in which a space film structure is prone to creases under a tensile force of a conventional holder. The method comprises: on the basis of nonlinear finite unit analysis, changing a loading boundary condition by optimizing a holder shape, maximizing the minimum principal stress of units in a film region, adjusting a principal stress distribution, and using a global optimization algorithm to find a global optimal design, so as to obtain a novel holder pattern having an arch-shaped or convex border, thereby completely suppressing creases. The method suppresses generation of creases in a thin film without cutting the thin film, thereby ensuring a sufficiently large operation area of the thin film. The invention is suitable for designing a holder of a space film structure, such as a space antenna or a solar sail, facilitates crease suppression of a film, and guarantees the operational performance of the structure without increasing costs for manufacturing, launching, and operations.
