The present invention addresses the problem of extrapolating a destination that is more useful for a user. A destination extrapolation device 1 comprises: a movement route history registration unit 13 that stores a position information history, which is a history of user position information; a position information acquisition unit 10 that acquires position information of the user; and a destination extrapolation unit 15 that extrapolates, on the basis of the stored position information history, the destination of the user, using the position indicated by the acquired position information as a departure location. The destination extrapolation unit 15 calculates, on the basis of the stored position information history, a degree of arrival, which is the degree to which the user has progressed towards the extrapolated destination, and if the calculated degree of arrival is equal to or greater than a prescribed threshold, the destination extrapolation unit extrapolates a new destination, using the extrapolated destination as the departure location.
