Abstract:
A desulfurization device is provided with: a downward inclined flow path (16) at a downward slope in which flue gas (G) from a flue (3) that connects a boiler (B) and a chimney (2) flows; a spray instrument (5) disposed upstream in the downward inclined flow path (16) for spraying an absorbing liquid (M) that absorbs sulfur oxides in the same direction as the flow of the flue gas (G); an upward inclined flow path (18) at an upward slope that guides the flue gas (G) flowing from the downward inclined flow path (16) to the flue (3); and a liquid reservoir (7) disposed between the lower end of the upward inclined flow path (18) and the lower end of the downward inclined flow path (16). An auxiliary spray instrument (6), which sprays the absorbing liquid (M) such that the absorbing liquid (M) is uniform inside the downward inclined flow path (16), is disposed on the downstream side of the spray instrument (5) in the downward inclined flow path (16), and a baffle plate (20) that restricts the inner diameter of the flow path is disposed in the downward inclined flow path (16) on the downstream side of the auxiliary spray instrument (6) in the upper part of the flow path.
