Abstract:
Provided is an SOH/SOC detecting device for a power storage element, the device making it possible to detect the state of health (SOH) and state of charge (SOC) of a power storage element accurately and instantaneously, and to recognize battery state. An SOH/SOC detecting device 1 for a secondary battery 10 detects the state of health and state of charge of the secondary battery 10, and is provided with a control unit including a measuring means for measuring the voltage and current of the secondary battery 10, and a computing means for performing a predetermined computation. The control unit 14, on the basis of measured values of a rise voltage and current of the secondary battery at the start of charging, determines an excess voltage δ in operation of the secondary battery by computation using a battery equation indicated by expression 1.
