Abstract:
This detection device for detecting the wear status of a rotating component that is worn away with use is provided with a distance sensor configured so as to measure the distance to an edge section on the radial outside with respect to the rotational axis of the rotating component, and a detection unit configured so as to detect the wear status of the rotating component on the basis of a measurement result from the distance sensor.
