Abstract:
The present invention is provided with the following: an air blowing unit that blows out air for drying the hands; a plurality of conductive detection electrodes installed on the inner side of a casing so as to detect the electrostatic capacitance of the hands; a detection processing unit that, on the basis of the electrostatic capacitance detected by the plurality of detection electrodes, continuously detects the position of the hands and determines that the hands have been inserted; and a control unit that controls the motion of the air blowing unit on the basis of the results determined by the detection processing unit.
