Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a detection device capable of detecting physical properties in a relatively narrow range of a test object. [Solution] A detection device 1 comprises exciting coils 10 and 20 that are each wound to direct a magnetic flux, which is generated in an inside-diameter region, from one opening end to the other opening end, magnetic substances 31 and 32 that guide a magnetic flux from an opening end 22 of the exciting coil 20 to an opening end 11 of the exciting coil 10, and a magnetic detection unit 40 that detects a magnetic flux passing through the magnetic substances 31 and 32. The physical properties of a test object A are detected by applying a magnetic flux, which flows from an opening end 12 of the exciting coil 10 to an opening end 21 of the exciting coil 20, to the test object A. The exciting coils 10 and 20 for generating magnetic fluxes in opposite directions are used in this manner, thereby concentrating magnetic fluxes in a relatively narrow range of the test object A. Thus, physical properties can be detected in the relatively narrow range of the test object A.
