Abstract:
Disclosed is a velocity/distance detection system provided with a transmitter and a receiver and detecting the distance between the transmitter and the receiver, wherein the transmitter transmits a composite frequency signal, and wherein the receiver is provided with: a receiving means for receiving the composite frequency signal transmitted from the transmitter; a calculating means for calculating a plurality of estimated power values or estimated amplitude values so that the difference between the plurality of estimated power values or estimated amplitude values falls within a target range; a velocity estimating means for estimating that the velocity at which the difference is within the target range is equal to the velocity of the transmitter or receiver; and a distance estimating means for extracting the phases of the plurality of frequency signals when the difference is within the target range, calculating the propagation delay time of the composite frequency signal between the transmitter and the receiver on the basis of the extracted phases, and estimating the distance between the transmitter and the receiver on the basis of the calculated propagation delay time.
