A detection system (300), a terminal device (900), a control detection method, and a control apparatus (1100, 1200), which can be applied to the fields of autonomous driving, intelligent driving, surveying and mapping, etc. The detection system (300) comprises a first pixel array (3011) and a first light source array (3021), wherein the first pixel array (3011) comprises M×N pixels, and the first light source array (3021) comprises M×N light sources corresponding to the M×N pixels, M and N being integers greater than 1; the pixels in the first pixel array (3011) are arranged in a staggered manner in a row direction, the stagger size of the pixels being less than the distance between centers of two adjacent pixels in the row direction; or the pixels in the first pixel array (3011) are arranged in a staggered manner in a column direction, the stagger size of the pixels being less than the distance between centers of two adjacent pixels in the column direction; and the arrangement mode of the light sources in the first light source array (3021) is coupled to or matches the arrangement mode of the pixels in the first pixel array (3011). In this way, an increase in the number of echo signals received by the unit area of a first pixel array (3011) is facilitated, such that the angular resolution of the detection system (300) can be improved.
