Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a developer cartridge with which it is possible to sense the specifications of the developer cartridge using a member electrically connected to a developing roller. The developer cartridge 1 is provided with: a casing 11 capable of housing a toner; a developing roller 12 capable of rotating about a first axis X1; a cam 20 that is electrically connected to the developing roller 12 and that is capable of rotating from a first position to a second position about a second axis X2, the cam 20 being positioned at a third position, at which the distance from the casing 11 is a first distance when the cam 20 is positioned at the first position, and at the fourth position, at which the distance from the casing 11 is a second distance greater than the first distance when the cam 20 is positioned at the second position; and a gear (idle gear 32) capable of rotating about the second axis X2, the gear being in an engaged state engaged with the cam 20 when the cam is positioned at the first position, and a non-engaged state disengaged from the cam 20 when the cam 20 is positioned at the second position.
