Abstract:
A developer which contains a binder resin, a colourant, and an additive. The additive contains a compound which undergoes phase transition as a result of light absorption, and which has a plurality of functional groups that are capable of photoisomerisation. When fixing the developer, the compound can be melted by irradiating a developer image with light of a prescribed wavelength, and thereafter can be solidified by heating or visible light irradiation. Therefore, energy can be conserved.
