Abstract:
Provided is a developing roller having: a rubber elastic body layer at the outer circumference of a metal shaft core; a coating layer on the front surface of the rubber elastic body, the coating layer being formed from (A) a binder, formed from a dilute solvent solution of (a) an isocyanate compound, an isocyanurate modified product thereof, and a terminal-hydroxyl-group-containing prepolymer of a reactive silicone oil and (b) an isocyanate compound and/or an isocyanurate modified product thereof, and (B) silicone particles; and an electrostatic capacity of 4-20 nF. This developing roller suppresses binding by suppressing the electrostatic capacity even when the nip width between a developing roll and a photoreceptor fluctuates as a result of distortion or gear stick slip (vibration) due to a peripheral member in a developing device.
