Abstract:
The present invention, when developing a new product, efficiently generates constraint conditions relating to the development in order to precisely determine whether or not the development should be carried out on at least a portion of the new product using a combination of components used in existing products. A development assistance device 2 is provided with: an asset composition information storage unit 20 that stores asset composition information indicating the components used by an asset; a specification information storage unit 21 that stores specification information relating to the components; a result information storage unit 22 that stores result information representing, separately by component, the development result achieved when an asset was developed; a new asset composition generation unit 23 that compares the components and specification information used by existing assets registered in the asset composition information and generates new asset composition information for a new asset in which said components are replaced with replaceable components for which the comparison results satisfy prescribed conditions; and a constraint condition generation unit 25 that generates constraint condition information during the development of a new asset, on the basis of the new asset composition information, the asset composition information, and the result information.
