The invention relates to a development set which includes mats and template mat which can be benefited from in different settings such as education institutions, nurseries, dining halls, restaurants and homes, and are as well used as table mats, and aim to support children’s development, also play a supporting role for families having difficulty in feeding their kids, and have various different artistic and educational illustrations and themes with pedagogical content, and enable a clearer view of writing, drawing and coloring by reducing the visibility of the pattern and color of the table underneath, and also are used with both water-based felt-tip pens and color pencils, and are easy to clean, in addition to and aside from pencils suitable for writing and drawing on and coloring them, and a bag used to store and easily carry all of the mentioned materials.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Currently, there is a wide variety of toys, tools, documents, and sets used in relation to child education and development. All of the listed instruments generally have a single function and unilateral and are not designed to be simultaneously used for different purposes; therefore they may both be uneconomic and cause difficulty of use. Another problem experienced by many families with kids is difficulty in feeding their kids. The most known solution in such cases is seating the child who will be fed in front of a television or entertaining the kid with cartoons using different devices such as mobile phones and tablet PCs; however, experts do not endorse such practices.

Some studies are conducted on this topic, and the national utility model application numbered TR 2013/07618 mentions a product focused on “activation set” It is explained that the mentioned product relates to an activation set, plain (non-figured) or with figures on top, which includes an apparatus protecting table surface during the activities to be performed using a table (dining, games, etc.) or directly enabling the activity at different environments such as education institutions - pre-schools in particular - homes, hotels, restaurants, etc.. The product described here and the like are manufactured from frosted and translucent PVC or PP. The products made of PVC present health risks, and that is why it is stated that the product described in the utility model document numbered TR 2013/07618 is produced from PP. These existing products cannot cover the pattern and color of the table underneath as they are transparent, and therefore, during writing, drawing and coloring activities performed on the mat, the view is not clear.

Another disadvantage of the existing products is that they can only be used with water-based felt-tip pens, are not suitable for use with color pencils, the most common material, or with pencils, and cannot be erased with rubber and can only be cleaned with water or wet wipes. Another negative aspect of the existing products is that they are generally packaged in a way to be sold individually. Every mat is only on one topic and has a limited visual area. Especially in the field of education, multiple visuals and materials are needed to explain a theme. For example, a single visual is inadequate to explain seasons to kids, and at least four visuals, including spring, summer, autumn, and winter, as well as their details are needed. Currently, however, the designs and packaging of the existing mats do not allow explaining multiple topics.

The existing products are not designed to be sold with pencils suitable for use, and this causes not only financial losses, but also loss of time for parents in terms of finding and purchasing suitable pencils. On some occasions, the mat becomes unusable due to application of a type of pen/pencil which is not erasable/removable, and the mat which cannot be cleaned goes to waste.

Another disadvantage of the existing products is related to storage and carriage. Families with kids need to bring the mats they use for their kids and the suitable pencils wherever they go, and carrying and storing such items may be inconvenient and time-consuming.

Consequently, the need to eliminate deficiencies and disadvantages of the structuring and applications observed in the existing technique and currently in use necessitated an improvement in the related technical field. AIM OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a development set provided to eliminate the above-mentioned disadvantages and to present new advantages to the relevant technical field.

The aim of the invention is to provide a development set embodiment that has mats that enable a clearer view of writing, drawing and coloring on all types of tables by highly concealing the color and pattern of the table underneath.

Another aim of the invention is to provide a development set embodiment that has mats that can be used with both water-based felt- tip pens and pencils and color pencils and can be easily cleaned even with a rubber.

Another aim of the invention is to provide a development set which allows using multiple visuals to facilitate, detail and diversify explaining a topic or a theme and enable explaining several themes that cannot be explained with a single mat.

Another aim of the invention is to provide a development set embodiment which includes pencils to be used with the mats in addition to the mats.

Another aim of the invention is to enable writing, drawing, and coloring as if on paper thanks to a transparent template mat under which a working sheet can be placed, without any damage to the paper, and to allow using the relevant paper several times. Thus, the invention contributes to the prevention of waste of paper and provides a different experience for children. Another aim of the invention is to provide a development set which includes a bag which has suitable compartments for placing mats and pencils in order to allow storage and easy carriage of mats and pencils to be used these mats. The invention, in general, is designed as a development set which can both be used as table mats and, therefore, enable protection of the table which is used for dining, and is also aimed to support children’s education and development, and, additionally, play a supporting role for families having difficulty in feeding their kids, and it is aimed to develop the utility model numbered TR 2013/07618.

Structural and characteristic features of the invention, as well as all of its advantages, will be understood more clearly thanks to the detailed description seen below, and therefore, evaluation of the invention should be conducted considering the related detailed description.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

The invention relates to a development set which includes mats (3) and template mat (4) which can be benefited from in different settings such as education institutions, nurseries, dining halls, restaurants and homes, and are as well used as table mats, and aim to support children’s development, also play a supporting role for families having difficulty in feeding their kids, and have various different artistic and educational illustrations and themes with pedagogical content, and enable a clearer view of writing, drawing and coloring by reducing the visibility of the pattern and color of the table underneath, and also are used with both water-based felt-tip pens and color pencils, and are easy to clean, in addition to and aside from pencils (2) suitable for writing and drawing on and coloring these mats (3) and template mat (4), and a bag (1) used to store and easily carry all of the mentioned materials.

The development set subject to the invention, in general, includes at least one mat (3) which ensures protection of the table which is used for dining, enables explaining various topics and themes to children, also can be used to write and draw on and color, and is easy to clean, and includes various artistic and educational illustrations and themes with pedagogical content, and at least one pencil (2) which can be used for writing and drawing on and coloring mats (3), and at least one transparent template mat (4) which enables writing, drawing and coloring as if on paper, without any damage to the paper, and allows using the relevant paper several times, and under which a working sheet can be placed with the help of four hole cuts on it, and at least one bag (1) which allows neat storage and easy carriage of the mentioned mats (3), template mat (4) and pencils (2).

The mats (3) included in the development set subject to the invention are white and paper-like and are manufactured from PP. Therefore, it is possible to work on tables and surfaces of all colors. White, paper like mats (3) have sand finish on their surface. Thus, it is possible to use water-based felt-tip pens and clean the mat by using water, or use pencils or color pencils and erase by using rubber.

Besides the mats (3) in the set subject to the invention, there is also a template mat (4) which is transparent and allows placing a working sheet underneath. The template mat (4) is manufactured from PP material and has sand finish print. This transparent template mat (4) has four hole cuts to enable placing paper/sheet underneath. Working sheet is easily seen through this template mat (4), and therefore, it becomes possible to work on the template mat (4) as if writing or drawing on the working sheet. At the end of the activity, however, working sheet is not damaged and can be stored for future use by removing its edges from the hole cuts that hold it during the activity. Template mat (4), on the other hand, can easily be cleaned, hence becoming prepared for the next activity. Thus, the set contributes to preventing the waste of paper as well as offering a different and fun experience to children and providing convenience to educators.

Unlike the existing mats packaged in a way to be sold individually, the concerned development set has mats (3) which include complementary themes and are found in groups, also template mat (4) as well as a bag (1) where the pencils (2) to be used with the mats and template mat are placed and which allows multiple sales. This feature makes it possible to gather in one place all subjects of one theme that is focused on while the set is used in educational settings, and also provides convenience while carrying and storing. The bag (1) of the development set has compartments on it to easily attach and detach pencils (2). The development set which also includes pencils (2) to be used, together with mats (3) prevents experiencing problems due to the use of non-cleanable pencils and ensures that mats (3) are more durable.

The fact that mats (3) and pencils (2) to be used are packaged together provides convenience while using and carrying the relevant development set, and it can be comfortably brought to everywhere the child goes. The development set subject to the invention provides a great advantage to education institutions in terms of both its content and durability. Each mat (3) can also be used both as a table protector and as a table mat. This feature makes it useful in protecting tables and keeping them clean. Thanks to their fun and entertaining patterns, mats (3) play a supporting role for families having difficulty feeding their kids.
