Title:
DEVICE FOR ABSORBING AN IMPACT APPLIED TO A SOLE USING A HIGHLY ELASTIC SPONGE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/024917
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for using a highly elastic sponge to absorb an impact applied to a sole. The present device (an air bag) is a product developed in consideration of the phenomena of the soles of people having different arch shapes, and the soles lowering and becoming flatter with age, thereby having reduced body-weight load supporting efficiency. The present device is designed so that when the sole contacts the ground, an impact applied to the sole is reduced by the product, and then air that has absorbed the impact flows upward toward the arch. Thus, the body-weight load concentrated in the knee or ankle may be absorbed using the highly elastic sponge built into a polyurethane sheet tube, and air pressure generated by the sponge may be continuously applied to the arch of the sole to relieve foot fatigue and impacts applied to a back heel.
