Technical field:
The présent invention refers to a device for the achievement of an adaptive distribution by eans of valves βspecially fitted for internai combustion engines for the purpose of correlating the flow of fresh fuel mixture to the cylindres wi the engine operating condi¬ tions,as vieil as for the improvement of air-fuel mixture development conditions. Bac ground Art
There are already k-nov différent devices for adaptive distribution,which use,in this sensé, a conventional valve,as well-as a sliding disc,v.hich has, as the valve does,a sealing-seating surface,on a com on seat.The sliding disc,located above the conventional valve coaxial Λith this one,is aaintained in contact ith the common seat QJ aeans of a spring having on opposed action in relation with the inertia effect obtained through the piston movement during the intaice stroke.
Thèse devices hâve so e disadvantages,since they reduce the rate of cylinder filling up,by that that they delay the inlet of resh fuel in the cylinders due to the rétention of the sliding dise on the seat during the first phase of the intake stroke, ue also to the réduction of the passing section and increasing gas-dynaαic loses, and to a lo ~ n performance. Disclosure of the Invention
The device for adaptive distribution of the invention,éliminâtes the above mentioned disadvantages by that that for correlating the filling up of engine cylin¬ ders in accordance,with the demsnds of engine operating conditions,for hoαiogenizing the fuel mixture,as well as for the réduction of fuel consumption,it consists in a valve stem guide through which passes a valve spinale of a valve whic has the only rôle of limitation and reset,between a seat and a Valve is a floating dise,th» „ .
vslve s ating on a portion of the floating disc,betι?.een the tab of the floating dise and the valve stem guide existing, or not,a spring.
The '' ' device for adaptive distribution,according to the invention,has the fallov-ing advantages;
•- reduces the fuel consu'.iption;
- realises the fuel -αixture ho ogeneity;
- reduces the polluting émissions of discharged gases; - permits an increase in the compression ratio. Brief description of drav.in s
.Jurther on are given tv.o embodiaents of the device according to figures 1 - 2 vjhich represent:
- fig.l - sche atic sectional viev. through a device viith floating dises and spring;
- fig.2 - schematic sectional viβv» through a device viith floating dises v;ithout spring;
3est mode of carrying out the invention
The device for adaptive distribution of the inven¬ tion according to figure l,is located in a eylinder head 1 τ ..αere through a valve stem guide 2 passes a valve spindle 3 of a valve 4-.3etv.een a seat 5 and valve 4- is located a floa¬ ting dise β.
Valve 4- seαts on o portion a of the floating dise β, ortion a being in faet the seat of valve .
Valve 4,-τ.hiciι in faet ûoer.r-'t ce roi the transfer of gases but only plays the rôle of limitation and reset,is driven by the classic distribution ..lechanisα and its αove- αent does not allov. in a e of fresh fu l flcv? into the engi¬ ne cylindres as long .es the floating dise 6 is retained on seat 5,this faet being of t e most importance and advantage- ous in the same ti e for slor. up,forced idling or engine stopping conditions.By progressive descen ence of the floa¬ ting dise 5,under the corroborate action of the dépression created in the engine cylinders together with the one crea- ted by a spring 7,<..hieh seats on t e tab b of the floating dise 6, his one descends falloviing the valve 4-, he stroke of the floating dise 6 being limited by the position of valve 4-, allovîing the intake of fresh fuel mixture through the section thus created bet^een seat 5 and floating dise 6 mhose value is function of reciproeal positions of valve 4- and floating dise 6.
OMPI
The reseating of floating dise 6 on the seat 5 is done either by its driving by valve 4- in its return stroke,or in advance by gases. ressure action at the begining of the compression stroke.Spring 7 » aids to the détachement of floa¬ ting dise 6 fro the seat 5»
The device with floating dises viithout spring,of the second e bodiment,according to figure tvio,has,from the construction point of vie ~ n . the sa e éléments as the first embodiment e cept for the faet that betvjeen the floating dise β and the valve stem guide 2,there is no spring the opening of the floating dise 5, or the inlet of fresh fuel mixture being exclusively done due to the dépression exi- sting in the cylinder.
The device of the invention assur s an optimal exploitation of the engine reducing the nocive exhaustion as 3 and reducing in the ean tiae t e fuel consumption by 20 - 25 %-
It a11o?.s the développent of compression a io assuring a optimal corrélation of the tror.smision sistea.
