Abstract:
The inventive device for an adjustable cooling of a roll stock during a heat treatment in a rolling mill comprises a range of successive sections. Each section comprises a nozzle, a cooling chamber, a cut off unit interconnected to a removal system for waste cooling agent and a guide for a temperature equalising. In addition, at least one cut off unit provided with a system for taking off a part of the waste cooling agent and connected to a valve motion unit is arranged along each cooling chamber. Said valve motion unit comprises a body divided into two cavities by a dividing element which is movable along the longitudinal axis of the chamber. Said dividing element is provided with a guide fixed thereto whose end sections are embodied in such a way that direct-flow and counter-flow nozzles are formed, each cavity being interconnected to the system for sampling a part of the waste cooling agent with the aid of a cut off valve. The cavity with the counter-flow nozzle is interconnected to the removal system for the waste cooling agent which is provided with a bleeding valve. The invention makes it possible to discretely modify the length of the cooling chamber, thereby enabling the ratio between dimensions of cooling areas and temperature equalising areas to adjusted.
