Abstract:
A device for adjusting the register of a web in the widthwise direction thereof is provided with: a first adjustment unit (39) comprising four pressing rollers (33-36) arranged in the center region of the web (W) in the widthwise direction thereof; and second adjustment units (44a, 44b) comprising four pressing rollers (31, 32, 37, 38) arranged in outer regions of the web (W) in the widthwise direction thereof, said outer regions being those which are on the outer sides of the first adjustment unit (39). The first adjustment unit (39) and the second adjustment units (44a, 44b) are adapted to be able to adjust (as an adjustment means) both the amount of pressing in the center region of the web (W) in the widthwise direction thereof and the amount of pressing in the outer regions of the web (W) in the widthwise direction thereof to different values, and by this, the fan-out of the web is corrected appropriately to improve the quality of printing.
