Abstract:
An ion−generating device comprises an internal electrode (6) formed in a dielectric material (4) and a surface electrode (5) formed on the surface of the dielectric material (4). The surface electrode (5) is shaped into a lattice which includes sharp sections (5a). The sharp section (5a) is formed of a triangle the apices of which are arbitrary two points on a side of the lattice and an arbitrary point inside the lattice, or of a square the apices of which are an arbitrary point nearly on a straight line which combines an intersection of the lattice with an intersection of the lattice at diagonal positions, and two arbitrary points on a side of the lattice. This constitution provides an ion−generating device which enables the generation of plus ions and minus ions stable even under a wide band of impressed voltages and the decrease in generation of ozone while reducing an increase in noise while reducing an increase in noise, an ion−generating apparatus, an air conditioner, a vacuum cleaner, and a refrigerator which comprise this device.
