Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and a device for automatically setting a language used in an electric rice cooker, by detecting the utility frequency of input power and automatically setting the official language in the country of use as a language for displayed text and voice guidance. The device for automatically setting a language used in the electric rice cooker comprises: a utility frequency detection unit for detecting the utility frequency of input power; a saving unit for saving at least displayed text data for displaying, in the text of the official language, the operation state of the electric rice cooker, wherein displayed text data for the official language of each country is saved according to the utility frequency; and a control unit for controlling to display the operation state of the electric rice cooker through the displayed text data for the official language of the country using the utility frequency detected by the utility frequency detection unit.
