Abstract:
The present invention pertains to the building industry and relates to machines for bonding rolls of roofing materials which are used during roofing and water-isolation operations. This invention essentially relates to a device for bonding rolls of roofing materials with an adhesive layer, wherein said device includes side walls as well as a press roller. Levers are hinged onto the ends of the roller axis and are rigidly connected by a rod to two rigid and parallel segments which include coaxial openings formed on the edges of the segment arcs. The levers are connected through the segments to the handle-bar of the device. The latter includes the switch of an infrared emitter which is made of precision alloys and includes a contact group as well as a thermally radiating screen provided in a housing mounted on the side walls of the device. The latter are hinged to the segments and are provided with support wheels in the lower front part. The device further includes two caster wheels having their axes connected to the side walls. The thermally radiating screen includes several sheets of metal, or other materials, which are mounted in a stepped manner and are tightly connected together along their profiles. The outer sheets are made of a heat-resistant metal, while one or more inner sheets are made of a material having a high infrared reflection index. The indicatrices of the infrared emitter and of the thermally radiating screen further coincide with each other.
