Abstract:
Disclosed is a device for catching a thread (11), which continuously arrives at a reeling machine with at least two reeling spindles (5,6), at the beginning of a reeling operation and for winding the thread (11) in order to form a reel (8) on a sleeve (7) which can be placed upon the reeling spindle (5,6). The inventive device has a catching bushing (16) which is placed on the free end of the reeling spindle (5,6) and which comprises a catching slit (17) and a friction bar (20) arranged in the centre of the catching bushing (16). A guide bushing (18) is provided in addition to the catching bushing on each reeling spindle (5,6), comprising a guiding slit (19) which surrounds the catching bushing (16) in a radial direction and which is arranged such that it is axially offset in relation to the catching bushing (16). A clamping device (34) is provided between the clamping bushing (16) and the guide bushing (18) in order to fix the thread (11) when the reels are changed automatically.
