Abstract:

The inventive device for cleaning air from dust and aerosols is based on the use of a heterogeneous electrostatic field which forms a stream of charged particles called ionic wind and operates as electric filter. Said device comprises a body (1) provided with discharge electrodes (3) having an opposite polarity, precipitation electrodes (4) and deflecting electrodes (5). A deflector for positive air ions is embodied in the form of an electrode (6) and arranged prior to the discharge electrodes and electrically connected thereto. The device comprises one or more ribbons which are made of a porous and fibrous material (core) and arranged in the heterogeneous electrostatic field.
