Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for cleaning glass windows, including a first cleaning unit and a second cleaning unit each of which are magnetically attached to either side of a glass window so as to be movable, and to a method for controlling the movement thereof. The device comprises: a direction-detecting sensor disposed on at least one of the first and second cleaning units so as to detect the direction in which the device for cleaning glass windows is moving; a control unit for controlling the movement of the device for cleaning glass windows according to the direction thereof as detected by the direction-detecting sensor; a collision-detecting unit for detecting a collision of the device for cleaning glass windows; and an offset-setting unit for setting a directional offset for the direction-detecting sensor if the device for cleaning glass windows collides with the window frame of the glass window.
