Abstract:
Disclosed are a device for collecting disc brake friction material dust particles, and a method for controlling same. A device for collecting disc brake friction material dust particles according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a static electricity generating unit which is spaced apart radially outward from the outer circumferential surface of a disc of the disc brake, and which receives power to generate static electricity and thereby induce the adsorption of the friction material dust particles; a friction material dust particle collecting unit disposed between the outer circumferential surface of the disc and the static electricity generating unit, and collecting the friction material dust particles that move toward the static electricity generating unit; and a fixing unit installed in a vehicle body so as to fix the static electricity generating unit and the friction material dust particle collecting unit.
