One or more embodiments of the present description provide a device configuration method and apparatus. Said method can comprise: a first physical device in a network calculating group information according to a first built-in algorithm, so as to obtain the access information of the network, the first physical device being bound to the group; a second physical device calculating, according to the group information sent by user equipment, the group information according to a second built-in algorithm, so as to obtain the access information to be verified, and using the access information to be verified to initiate, to the first physical device, a request for access to the network; and the first physical device allowing the second physical device to access the network if the access information to be verified matches the access information.
