Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application relate to the field of communications, and provide a device configuration method. The method comprises: a first network device parsing a plurality of configuration templates on the basis of a YANG model, so as to obtain effective configuration templates, the plurality of configuration templates all meeting a language specification of the YANG model, and there being a template inheritance relationship and/or a template aggregation relationship among the plurality of configuration templates; associating the effective configuration templates with acquired device configuration parameters; converting the effective configuration templates associated with the device configuration parameters into configuration packets; and issuing the configuration packets to a second network device, so that the second network device can perform corresponding network configuration on the basis of the configuration packets. The embodiments of the present application further provide a network device, a chip and a computer readable storage medium. According to the embodiments of the present application, configuration packets are generated by using hierarchical configuration templates conforming to the language specification of the YANG model, so that the operation and maintenance efficiency of the network device can be improved.
