Title:
DEVICE FOR CONNECTING ELECTRIC LINES, ESPECIALLY AN AUTOMATIC RAILWAY COUPLING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2001061788
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for connecting electric lines during mechanical coupling of a first component to a second component of an, especially railborne, means of transport, especially an automatic railway coupling. The inventive device comprises a first connecting element (1) that is allocated to the first component and is provided with a first electroconductive contact element (12a, 12b, 12c) that can be electrically connected to a second electroconductive contact element (32a, 32b, 32c) of a second connecting element which is allocated to the second component. The invention is characterised in that the first and second connecting elements (1) are embodied in such a way that the first and second contact elements (12a to 12c; 32a to 32c) can be automatically and electrically connected to one another during mechanical coupling.
