Abstract:

The invention relates to a ski binding for cross-country ski-ing and ski-touring, comprising a step-in mechanism, which has, in the toe region, two spring-loaded retaining bolts (1) that have rounded extremities and extend transversely to the direction of travel. Said bolts engage in cavities (23) of the shoe sole or parts of the latter and can be brought out of the engagement position by a release mechanism. The rounded extremity (5) of the retaining bolt (1) should lie above the plane that runs through the longitudinal axis of the bolt (1) and is parallel to the ski surface in the engaged state.
