Abstract:
A device control apparatus (100) is an apparatus for controlling electric devices installed in a dwelling. A storage unit (108) stores device control schedule data (106) including a control schedule for devices to be controlled. A current position acquisition unit (110) acquires current position information indicating the current position of a user. A calculation unit (111) calculates a distance or traveling time from the current position, which is indicated by the current position information acquired by the current position acquisition unit (110), to a reference position of a control area. An update unit (112) compares the distance or traveling time calculated by the calculation unit (111) with a predetermined threshold value and updates the device control schedule data (106) in accordance with a result of the comparison.
