Abstract:
The present invention discloses a device control method and an apparatus. The method comprises: accessing a current local area network, and searching for a device in the local area network; querying whether a device management group corresponding to the device has already been created, wherein each device management group corresponds to one or more devices; if the device management group has already been created, querying whether an account has been bound to the device management group; if no account has been bound to the device management group, binding a current user account to the device management group, and implementing control of all devices corresponding to the device management group by means of the current account on the basis of a binding relationship. The present invention allows a telecommunication service provider to create a device management group using a company account and to terminate a relationship between the company account and the device management group after all the devices in the device management group have been configured. The invention further permits a user to search all the devices on a local area network in their home in order to find a device corresponding to a device management group to which no account has been bound. Once a user account has been bound to all devices in the device management group, the devices therein can be controlled by the user.
