Abstract:
Provided is a device for controlling a dental handpiece, comprising: a relay (17) housed in a dental handpiece and used for switching the polarity of voltage applied to a motor (20) for rotating a cutting tool (file) mounted on the dental handpiece, to thereby switch the direction of rotation of a motor (20) between normal rotation and reverse rotation; and a controller (11) for controlling the switching of polarity of the voltage in the relay (17) on the basis of the rotational angle θF during normal rotation and the rotational angle θR during reverse rotation of the motor (20) correlated with information about the state of the file.
