Abstract:
A device for controlling fuel injection in an internal combustion engine is provided with a fuel injection valve (21) constructed so that a needle (41) for opening and closing an injection orifice (49) and a movable core (40) having a pushing part (40a) for pushing the needle in the valve-opening direction are provided separately, an urging member (45) for urging the needle and the movable core in the valve-closing direction is provided, a solenoid (52) for driving the movable core in the valve-opening direction is provided, and a prescribed gap is formed between the pushing part of the movable core and a part (42) to be pushed of the needle when the solenoid is not being energized. The device for controlling fuel injection in an internal combustion engine is also provided with: a control unit (30, 101-106, 109) that, when a prescribed execution condition is met, executes pre-charge control for energizing the solenoid so that the pushing part of the movable core comes into contact with the part to be pushed of the needle but the needle remains stopped in the valve-closed position without moving in the valve-opening direction, and, after executing the pre-charge control, executes valve-opening control for energizing the solenoid so that the movable core and the needle move in the valve-opening direction and fuel is injected; a detection unit (30, 107, 110) for detecting valve-opening response information, which is information about the valve-opening responsiveness of the fuel injection valve, on the basis of the electrical signal of the fuel injection valve when the valve-opening control is executed after the pre-charge control is executed; and a correction unit (30, 108, 111) for correcting the amount of injection control for the fuel injection valve on the basis of the valve-opening response information when the valve-opening control is executed after the pre-charge control is executed.
