Abstract:
This device (60, 70, 71) for controlling a hybrid vehicle controls a hybrid vehicle provided with: a motive force source including an internal combustion engine (200) and a motor/generator (MG1, MG2); a recirculation means (125) that recirculates exhaust from the exhaust side to the air intake side of the internal combustion engine; and a recirculation amount adjustment means (126) that can adjust the amount of recirculation of the recirculation means. The device for controlling a hybrid vehicle is provided with: a determination means (60) that, when the hybrid vehicle is traveling by driving the internal combustion engine, determines whether or not it is possible to halt the internal combustion engine and perform electric travel by means of the motor/generator; and a recirculation control means (71) that, when it has been determined that electric travel is possible, controls the recirculation amount adjustment means in a manner such that the amount of recirculation of the recirculation means is greater than the case that it has been determined that electric travel is not possible. As a result, it is possible to favorably prevent misfiring of the internal combustion engine.
