Abstract:
A device for controlling the meandering of a rolled material, which is provided with means (15) for finding a leveling amount and polarity (15A) in rolling on the rolling mill by employing a 'fuzzy' inference technique on the basis of deviation (11A) in tension of the material (1) rolled by the rolling mill (2) between the operator side and the drive side as well as deviation (13A) in rolling load by the rolling mill between the operator side and the drive side. Leveling amounts in rolling on the operator side and drive side of the rolling mill (2) are individually adjusted according to the amount of leveling and polarity in rolling found by the 'fuzzy' inference method.
