Abstract:
This device for controlling opening and closing of a sliding door is a device for controlling opening and closing of a sliding door having a motor as the drive source and adapted to slide in the front or back direction of a vehicle along a side surface of the vehicle body, to open or close the stepwell of the automobile, wherein the surface of a member constituting the exterior of the automobile is provided with a touch panel (31) for operating the sliding door to open or close. The touch panel is provided with a plurality of operation parts (31f, 31h, 31s, 32c), and with light sources corresponding to the operation parts (31f, 31h, 31s, 32c). Depending on the open or closed condition of the sliding door, the light sources corresponding to operation parts (31f, 31h, 31s, 32c) which are currently operable light up, producing a visible display of the operable operation parts (31f, 31h, 31s, 32c).
