Title:
DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING SPARK-IGNITION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/063874
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The problem addressed by the present invention is to achieve both an increase in exhaust temperature necessary for warming up and the suppression of particulate matter (PM), which is a harmful substance, in exhaust, while suppressing to a minimum a worsening in fuel efficiency, even during environmental fluctuations and changes due to aging during a catalyst warm-up operation immediately after engine startup. In order to resolve the abovementioned problem, the present invention is a device that is for controlling an engine and that is provided with a particulate matter detection means for detecting particulate matter in exhaust, and an exhaust temperature detection means for detecting the temperature of exhaust, the device for controlling an engine being characterized by performing fuel injection and ignition control of the engine on the basis of the exhaust temperature detected by the exhaust temperature detection means and the particulate matter concentration detected by the particulate matter detection means. The device for controlling an engine can achieve both an increase in exhaust temperature and a decrease in particulate matter while suppressing to a minimum a worsening of fuel efficiency.
