Abstract:
A device (200) for controlling a surgical instrument (100) provided with a heater (160) for generating heat by being supplied with electrical power is provided with a first power source (232), a second power source (234), a resistance value calculation unit (250), and an output control circuit (220). The first power source (232) outputs a first current of a first frequency. The second power source (234) outputs a second current of a second frequency that is different from the first frequency. The resistance value calculation unit (250) separates a signal component according to the second current from the first current and the second current that have passed through the heater (160), and calculates a heater resistance value on the basis of the signal component. The output control circuit (220) performs temperature control of the heater (160) on the basis of the heater resistance value.
