Abstract:
During an initial turn period in which a lateral acceleration (Gy) is less than an initial-turn-period determination value (Gys), the disclosed device sets a rear-wheel torque-difference determination gain (Gain), which is multiplied by a fundamental left/right rear-wheel torque-difference steady-state control calculation value for vehicle turning behavior requested continually by the driver, to A, which is greater than 1 and increases as the lateral acceleration (Gy) decreases. As a result, a final rear-wheel torque difference (ΔTcLR) is increased during the initial turn period (lateral acceleration (Gy) < Gys), said final rear-wheel torque difference being obtained by multiplying a feedback control coefficient by a left/right rear-wheel torque difference, which is the sum of a left/right rear-wheel torque-difference transient control term and a final left/right rear-wheel torque-difference steady-state control term obtained by multiplying the fundamental left/right rear-wheel torque-difference steady-state control calculation value by the rear-wheel torque-difference determination gain (Gain = A). This improves an initial turn response.
