Abstract:
The device is designed as a non-self-locking helical gear mechanism arranged in a housing (24) and comprising a drive unit (2) and a driven unit (1) connected to the former via bearings (3). The drive unit (2) is connected to the unit (5) at which the axial force is applied so as to allow free axial displacement, rotation, and stopping and so that it can cooperate through both its surfaces, one of which is designed to lock, the other to slide, with the corresponding, identically shaped surfaces of the unit (5). The unit (5) is connected to the mechanism which generates the axial force and which is in the form of a helical gear (9, 11); the axial force provides the torque to alter the angle of rotation of the driven unit (1). The unit (5) is provided with a mechanism (17) for altering the axial force. The drive component (9) of the helical gear (9, 11) is configured coaxially with the driven unit (1) and rigidly connected to the unit (5) and the mechanism (17) so as to be able to cooperate with the drive and driven units (2 and 1).
