Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for the cooling of bulk products which has a grid (3) conveying a layer of the bulk product along a conveying direction with a device for the supply of cooling gas, wherein the grid (3) comprises conveying elements (31, 6) and forms an essentially smooth support surface for the layer of the bulk product. According to the invention, it is provided that the support surface is at least partially furnished with a planar purging device (4) which has a webbing (41) as a spatially extended dispersion element, which the bulk product directly covers, and which also has a support structure (42) arranged under said webbing. By means of the webbing (41) and the support structure (42) arranged directly thereunder, a compound structure is created which provides a large escape surface for the cooling gas and which is sufficiently robust to support the covering layer of the bulk product to be cooled. The invention reconciles the apparently conflicting objectives of achieving a maximally large escape surface for the cooling gas and of achieving a sufficiently high mechanical rigidity. Combined with the large escape surface, is a better distribution of the cooling gas which, in turn, leads to a better heat exchange and markedly reduced pressure losses when the webbing (41) is being traversed when used as a dispersion element. In addition, by means of webs arranged at an angle to the transport direction, pockets are created which allow a stationary layer of cooled product to be present above the dispersion elements. As a result, no relative motion arises between the webbing (41) and the cooled product to be transported. The webbing (41) is protected against wear. The entry of fine clinker from the area of planks moving relative to one another is in this arrangement reliably prevented by means of bounding side walls.
