Abstract:
The invention relates to the field of hydraulic engineering, more particularly to a device intended to protect coastlines from storms by providing wave damping in deep water. A device for damping waves in deep water comprises a group of buoyant elements (1) mounted at least in one row. Each of the aforementioned elements consists of a rod having a float fixed at one end and a submersible element fixed at the other end. Each float and submersible element has a rectangular shape in plan view. Adjacent floats and submersible elements are interconnected by means of flexible joints (5). The technical result of the invention consists in the creation of a simple, light-weight and reliable apparatus that provides wave damping in deep water from any direction of wave propagation.
