Description:

A device for decreasing the carbon dioxide content of the earth

The present invention refers to a device for decreasing the carbon dioxide content of the earth. Near or in a distance from places where carbon dioxide generating processes take place e.g. in factories and which constitutes carbon dioxide e.g. during burning of organic substances, the carbon dioxide constituted in the carbon dioxide generating process is supplied to at least one greenhouse, vegetation in said greenhouse converts the carbon dioxide to oxygen by help of photosynthesis, which in a predetermined amount can be evacuated from said greenhouse out into the open air.

Existing structures now on the market, in which burning of organic materials take place carbon dioxide is formed, which increases the greenhouse effect. At the same time there is a large lacking of clean water for watering the vegetation. Deserts are expanding, which also makes that the earth gets less vegetation and because of that via photosynthesis a less amount of provided oxygen.

One object of the present invention is to solve those problems existing owing to circumstances mentioned above in that where carbon dioxide processes take place i.e. in factories and which forms carbon dioxide this is supplied to large or gigantic greenhouses, so that vegetation in the greenhouses by aid of photosynthesis converts the carbon dioxide to oxygen, which in a predetermined extent can be evacuated from the greenhouses out into the open air.

Thanks to the invention a simple and cheap solution of the greenhouse effect has been provided. One uses cheap solar energy, existing in the deserts in order to grow up new vegetation, which can provide the earth with more oxygen, when the earth at the same time via photosynthesis is consuming the carbon dioxide. This can take place in very big greenhouses, which are provided with desalinated sea water or the free or open nature in the deserts can be supplied with desalinated water formed by the cheap energy of the sun, which converts salt-bearing sea water to clean water. If anyone in direct

connection to carbon dioxide processes leads in the carbon dioxide formed in this way to greenhouses one obtains a strong growing vegetation right there, since the vegetation in a better way can breathe in concentrated carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen. The oxygen is thereafter fed out into the open air and decreases the carbon dioxide content.

A first embodiment example of the invention consists of a device for decreasing the carbon dioxide content. During a carbon dioxide generating process in e.g. factories and which constitutes carbon dioxide by burning organic substances, the carbon dioxide formed in the carbon dioxide generating process is supplied to a gigantic greenhouse, whereby vegetation in said greenhouse is converting the carbon dioxide to oxygen by help of photosynthesis, said oxygen in a predetermined amount is evacuated from said greenhouse out into the open air. The greenhouse and a sun panel used for the actual purpose can be built up by glass panels made by float glass with low iron content in order to decrease energy collection in the float glass for better utilizing the energy of the sun.

In a preferred embodiment example of the invention the greenhouse is situated near to or in a desert, where strong and very much cheap solar energy is available. This solar energy is used to condensate salt-bearing sea water, which is taken from a sea located in the near, so that a sun panel plant supplies the solar energy to the condensation plant, which at first via sun panels is heating the sea water to evaporation, at least to about 80 0 C, whereby by supplying not heated sea water having a temperature of about 15-3O°C to a condenser in said condensing plant, condensed water is provided in the form of desalinated sea water for watering the vegetation in said greenhouse or for direct watering of the desert, where planted vegetation converts the carbon dioxide to oxygen, which direct is supplied to the surrounding open air.

The largest advantages with the invention is with other words that at the same time as the amount of greenhouse gases in the form of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is decreased the vegetation can be increased and at the same time as the extension of the deserts can be decreased and solve the problem about

the access of clean drinking-water and watering water and furthermore an enhanced production of foodstuffs to the people of the world can be provided by aid of already existing solar energy.

The invention is described closer below by aid of a preferred embodiment example in view of the drawing enclosed, in which

Fig. 1 shows a flow diagram

As can be seen from fig. 1 a device is illustrated to lower the carbon dioxide on the earth. Carbon dioxide generating processes 1 constitute carbon dioxide 9, which direct or indirect are supplied to gigantic greenhouses 2. Vegetation 8 in said greenhouse 2 converts by photosynthesis the carbon dioxide 9 to oxygen 1 1 , which in a predetermined extent can be evacuated from said greenhouse 2 out into the open air. Within said greenhouse 2 desalinated sea water 10 is used for the watering procedure, which has been taken from a sea with sea water 7, whereby a sun panel plant 3 provides a condensing plant 4 with solar energy, which at first via sun panels 5 is heating the sea water 7 - evaporation, whereby by supplying of not intentionally heated sea water 7 to the condensing plant 4, a condenser 6 located in the same is condensing the heated sea water 7 into said desalinated water 10, for watering the vegetation 8 in the greenhouse 2 or for direct watering in the desert, where planted vegetation 8 converts the carbon dioxide 9 to oxygen 11.
