Abstract:
A device 1 for detecting rotation direction has a current detector 11 that detects the direction of current flowing in a motor 3, a voltage detector 12 that detects each voltage before and after the motor 3 in a power supply line 4, and a rotation direction detector 13 that detects the rotation direction of the motor 3 on the basis of the direction of the current and each voltage before and after the motor 3. The current detector 11 is connected to points A, B before and after a shunt resistor 5, and detects the direction of the current flowing in the power supply line 4 to form current direction information CI. The voltage detector 12 is connected to points A, C before and after the motor 3, and detects the voltage at each position to form motor terminal voltage information VI. The rotation direction detector 13 detects the rotation direction of the motor 3 using a logical combination of the current direction information CI and the motor terminal voltage information VI.
