Abstract:
This invention provides, with respect to a remote-controlled actuator of which a tool is provided at a tip of an elongated spindle guide having a tubular shell, a device for detecting a tool tip position which is always capable of precisely detecting a correct tip position of the tool by estimating to a high degree of accuracy a displacement of the tip position of the tool due to a deflection of the spindle guide. The remote-controlled actuator (5) is provided with a body housing (4) to which a base end of the spindle guide (3) is connected. The device for detecting a tool tip position of a remote-controlled actuator is provided with a position detection means (54) when no external force is applied, for detecting the position and posture of the body housing (4) and for detecting the tip position of the tool (1) when no external force is exerted on the tool (1) and the spindle guide (3), on the basis of the detected value; a distortion detection means (60) for detecting a distortion of the spindle guide (3); and a correction means (55) for correcting the tip position of the tool (1) detected by the position detection means (54) when no external force is applied, using a distortion detection value of the distortion detection means (60).
